The bad communications until recently existing in this rough area of the Salamanca province have resulted in the preservation of an unique ensemble of landscapes and wildlife. Large juniper forests and the frequent wiew of vultures and black storks invite to peaceful trips through this land.

LA PEÑA DE FRANCIA

The highest point of this area, with a wonderful overwiew that reaches the entire region. 
At the top lies the  Monasterio de Nuestra Señora, an old contruction ot the XV century, said to be the highest sanctuary devotet to holy Mary in the world.
